Perceived audio measurement is widely used in smartphones, VoIP networks, and device testing to measure how people perceive sound quality. Perceived sound quality testing is particularly useful for devices with limited bandwidth or bit rates. Using standard sine wave testing parameters such as frequency response/distortion cannot effectively test and compare the performance of different devices.
